INEC is recruiting for three categories of positions across Grade Levels 07, 08, 09, 10, and 12:


Category A — Professional Cadre (Grade Level 09, 10 and 12)

This category is open to professionals in fields including Law, Medicine, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting, and other relevant disciplines.

  • Lawyers
  • Clinical Officers
  • IT Officers
  • Engineers
  • Accountants
  • And other relevant professionals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus a Master's Degree in the relevant field from a government-recognized institution
  • Relevant professional certification where applicable — NBA, MDCN, COREN, NSE, ICAN, ANAN, CPN, etc.
  • NYSC Discharge Certificate, Certificate of Exemption, or Letter of Exclusion
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge and competence in the relevant field
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications and digital tools

Category B — Administrative Officer II / Registration Area Officer (Grade Level 08)

This category is open to graduates with qualifications in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Sciences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Sciences from a recognized institution
  • NYSC Discharge Certificate, Certificate of Exemption, or Letter of Exclusion
  • Good knowledge of data management and record keeping
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant ICT tools

Category C — Executive Officer / Assistant Registration Area Officer (Grade Level 07)

This category is open to NCE holders and equivalent qualification holders.

Requirements:

  • National Certificate in Education (NCE) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations and data handling
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision within assigned Registration Areas

General Requirements — Who Can Apply?

In addition to the specific qualifications above, all applicants must meet the following general requirements:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent
  • Must present a valid Certificate of State of Origin duly signed by the Chairman or Secretary of their Local Government — certificates endorsed by Liaison Officers will NOT be accepted
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be certified by a Government Medical Officer as physically and mentally fit for appointment
  • Must not be above 35 years of age at the point of application
  • Must possess good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence
  • Must be willing to serve in any part of the Federation where assigned
  • Must possess integrity, discipline, and commitment to Public Service
